About Peristaltic (Hose) Pumps Hakkında
Hose pumps, also known as peristaltic pumps, are suitable for transferring corrosive and abrasive chemicals as well as liquids containing solid particles and high viscosity fluids. The only materials in contact with the liquid are the hose and the hose fitting.
The appropriate pump is determined with the hose selected according to the fluid. The pumps can run dry and the direction of rotation can be reversed. Because the hose returns to its original form after compression, a near-perfect vacuum is created that draws out all the vacuum inside the hose. As a result, very viscous liquids can be transferred without problems using Boyser hose pumps.
The pump casing is filled halfway with a specially formulated oil to extend hose service life and to cool and lubricate the pump. Since the fluid contacts only the hose and not the moving parts, the hose pump is very well suited to abrasive and corrosive applications.
